Broody Valentino came to the burlesque world with a wealth of stage experience, and bucketload of charisma. From his fanciful and well-crafted stage attire, ability to pull at heartstrings, and his innovative use of silk fans, feathers, and even puppets, Broody Valentino has enamored NYC since his graduation of the School of Burlesque in 2016. Both at home at dive bar shows, theatrical spectacles, or a Susanne Bartsch party, Broody continues to amaze. He has also won titles such as “King of NJ Burlesque,” and first place in Burlypicks between his appearances across the country and beyond.
He and Fem Appeal are the 2 most rewarded entertainers in the history of the Silver Tusk Awards.
2017’s award show provided Broody with seven nominations, where he won 2 of them. Due to overwhelming response and his near-win of all of his other categories, he was granted the first Entertainer of the Year title.
2018 met Broody with another win; this time for “Sharp Dressed Stripper,” which he shared with Clara Coquette. 2019 continued his streak, where he snagged “Grandmaster of Grandeur” (alongside Holly Ween); while in 2020, “The Perfect Perfectionist” further called to his strength at completeness as a performer.
Come 2021, for the Allstars edition, Broody was marked Champion for The Punctilio; for 2021’s Silver Tusk Awards, we also acknowledged a ‘newcomer’ (first time Silver Tusk winner), who turned out to be Logan Laveau.
Broody was also named the winner of Scorsese of the Small Screen as he proved adept at the digital burlesque market during the COVID-19 pandemic that brought performers to audiences behind computers. For one’s Achievement as Best Direction, Editing and Cinematography, Scorsese of the Small Screen recognized the artist behind the artist, making themselves look so good during the pandemic.
Broody would win again in 2023 as “Smarty Pants Off,” reminding folks after lockdown, he had lost none of his ability to dazzle with impressive act construction (and clothing removal!)
