INTERNATIONAL – The Silver Tusk Burlesque Awards is set to return for its 9th year, with voting beginning on November 25, 2024. The annual awards ceremony celebrates the artistry and dedication of burlesque, drag, and nightlife entertainers with a playful and cheeky twist, offering fun superlatives and titles to those nominated by fans and colleagues alike.

This year's theme is typically irreverent; "High School," marking the 9th anniversary of the Silver Tusk Awards, a beloved event founded by burlesque director and podcaster Viktor Devonne, the force behind WEBurlesque. Since its inception in 2017 as an in-person event in New York City, the Silver Tusk Awards has grown to become a global celebration of the vibrant and diverse world of burlesque and its performers.

Fans, entertainers, and industry professionals will have the opportunity to cast their votes for their favorite performers from November 25 to December 10, 2024 when the first round of voting closes. Nominees will be revealed on December 15th, and the vying hopefuls will enter a final round of voting to determine the winners announced this January 2025.

The Silver Tusk Burlesque Awards is designed to highlight the artistry and creativity of performers from around the world. The event provides a platform for fans and colleagues to honor entertainers who make burlesque and nightlife culture so unique. Last year’s "Entertainer of the Year," Tito Bonito, an LA-based performer, made history by winning all three categories he was nominated for, an unprecedented achievement.  Some categories he and his associates may be eyeing up include yearbook-friendly distinctions "Most Spirited," "Cutest Couple," "Coolest New Kid," and more.

A standout category this year is "Video Star 2025," where voters will select the top submitted music video-style burlesque acts to be featured during the awards show. This category promises to bring even more glamour, creativity, and ridiculousness to the celebration.

The Silver Tusk Burlesque Awards is a global event, open to performers from all over the world. It’s a celebration for everyone who loves burlesque, drag, and nightlife entertainment, and a chance to support and recognize the performers who bring magic and joy to the stage.
